When I graduated high school, I knew I was going to college. What I didn't know was why.
I enrolled in community college, eventually earned my bachelor's degree, and invested years of time, energy, and money into my education. But if you had asked me where it was all leading, I couldn't have given you an answer. I had no clear direction, no understanding of the career options available to me, and no idea how my education would translate into a fulfilling career.
After graduation, I did what so many people do. I applied to countless jobs, hoping something would stick. Eventually, I found myself working in special education. It was meaningful work, and there were many parts of it that I truly loved, but deep down I knew it wasn't where I was meant to stay.
Looking back, I often think about how different my twenties could have been if someone had sat down with me and helped me explore my strengths, interests, and the career paths I never even knew existed. I didn't know recruiting was a career. I didn't know career coaching existed. I didn't know there were people who could help connect your personality, skills, values, and goals to meaningful opportunities.
That realization is a big part of why I'm so passionate about this next chapter.
Through recruiting, I've had the privilege of helping people find careers they genuinely enjoy. Now, I'm excited to expand those services by offering career coaching for high school students, young adults, and adults looking to make a career change.
